What’s a typical day as a Benefits Customer Service Representative? You’ll be:

  • Quickly building rapport and responding to plan participants in a compassionate manner by identifying and exceeding expectations responding in a respectful, accurate, timely manner, consistently meeting commitments via phone, email, and instant message
  • Customizing your customer service approach to meet all types of communication styles and personalities while maintaining professionalism and diplomacy during difficult calls
  • Handling confidential information with sensitivity and discretion in accordance with HIPAA and Data Privacy laws and company data security requirements
  • Maintaining and documenting complete and accurate call and case notes in a professional manner

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have your High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a customer service-related field
  • Have a high level of attention to detail, multi-tasking, and ability to organize work
  • Have experience using Microsoft Office with a strong ability to juggle multiple open computer windows to answer questions while on the phone/instant messaging
  • Type 30 words a minute
  • Love working in a virtual environment, while still being close to the company you support (within a 2-hour radius of Minneapolis, MN).
