Healthcare Customer Service Rep – Work From Home

Sutherland is seeking positive, flexible and self-motivated individuals to support the growing needs of one of our healthcare customers. We’ll look to you to deliver an exceptional customer experience by responding to questions from patients via phone, email and chat.

Specifically, you will receive and respond to patient inquiries related to billing and payments. This may include answering statement questions: updating information; triaging and transferring calls; managing the patient dispute process; and handling related financial assistance inquiries. These are temporary work from home positions, but will return to our office in Clifton, NJ at a later day.

Our ideal candidates will possess:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ work-related experience which includes a background in customer service (call center experience is preferred)
  • MS Office skills and strong/accurate typing ability (60WPM)
  • Hospital or Healthcare knowledge and experience, including a familiarity with professional and hospital billing and insurance payers (Non-Government, No – Fault and Workers Comp).
  • A background working with an electronic health record system (SMS Invision, I-series, Meditech, Epic experience a plus).
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
