We are currently looking for a Behavioral Researcher in our Population Science department in Richmond, VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements.

Situated within Regulatory Affairs, the Population Science department’s role is to evaluate the impact of tobacco product use in the population to advance regulatory and harm reduction efforts.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the execution of multiple perception and behavioral research studies, including supporting protocol and research tool development and reporting
  • Interpret findings from research and draft scientific narrative content for regulatory applications and submissions
  • Provide research support including quality control and preparation of materials for submission to the FDA
  • Review guidance and communications from the FDA to determine implications for perception and behavior research
  • Develop technical documents related to various scientific and regulatory topics, including reviews of presentations and peer-reviewed publications
  • Prioritize projects in a rapidly changing environment

We want you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Psychology, Marketing Research, Decision Science, Quantitative Methods, or related fields. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of meaningful educational and/or work experience (Consumer research, background in consumer package goods, FDA regulatory environment and/or public health a plus)
  • Experience conducting research or serving as a research assistant on a scientific project
  • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data and synthesize complex scientific information in a concise manner
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multi-task and balance priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
  • Strong written and oral communications skills and the ability to present information optimally to others, including scientific audiences
  • Strong understanding of consumer research and how-to best address business questions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team
