Customer Service Representative at Acromegaly

Job Description
Acromegaly is a hormonal disorder that develops when your pituitary gland produces too much growth hormone during adulthood. When this happens, one’s bones increase in size, including those of one’s hands, feet and face. Because acromegaly is uncommon and physical changes occur gradually, the condition sometimes takes a long time to recognize. If it’s not treated promptly, Acromegaly can lead to serious illness and may even become life-threatening. Acromegaly patients are managed in a Center of Excellence model. A Center of Excellence is a team of individuals dedicated to servicing patients of a specific therapy or drug type. They often work across business units and have an in-depth knowledge of the drugs and patient base that they handle for a more personalized customer service experience. COEs handle patient cases from start to finish – taking not only inbound calls but completing worklist items, resolving escalations, and partnering internally with other departments as needed to ensure performance guarantees are met. COEs are also innovative, often leading the way in exploring and adopting new techniques or business practices. Schedules run 8am-8pm Monday-Friday. Training will be provided.

Required Qualifications
• One year experience in a customer service role or one year pharmacy experience
• Six months work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
• Computer keyboarding experience, skills and aptitude
• Strong desire for customer service and relationship

Preferred Qualifications
• Six months experience handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone
• Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions

• Verifiable High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
